Il contesto economico è sempre più impredicibile, le imprese industriali sono impegnate ad innovare prodotti, servizi e processi di produzione e vendita per adattarli a quanto mutevolmente richiesto dai mercati. Lo sviluppo di servizi avanzati e di modelli di business servitizzati, quali il fleet management, le sottoscrizioni e le formule di equipment-as-a-service, possono in alcuni contesti essere la risposta al richiesto cambiamento di paradigma. Questo cambiamento richiede sperimentazione, sviluppo di nuove capacità e sfruttamento di nuove tecnologie.

Il XIX ASAP FORUM si è posto come obiettivo di tratteggiare le possibili direttrici di evoluzione dell’impresa industriale, ponendo enfasi sul ruolo che le tecnologie emergenti e l’intelligenza artificiale avranno nello sviluppo ed erogazione di servizi digitali, adatti a contesti sociali ad alta intensità di cambiamento. L’evento ha avuto più di 200 iscritti e 150 partecipanti, con 15 testimonianze di casi di successo aziendali.

La prima giornata di lavori è stata, come da tradizione, riservata agli aderenti della Community ASAP: le aziende della community hanno potuto tratteggiare le evoluzioni attese per il “service del futuro”, confrontandosi con esperti internazionali come Heiko Gebauer, Professore del Fraunhofer IMW, Davide Romero, Professore del Tecnológico de Monterrey e Jim Spoher già direttore IBM – Cognitive OpenTech. La giornata si è conclusa con la cena sociale.

Il giorno successivo, aperto a tutti e fruibile anche online, si è articolato in tre sessioni.  La prima, con testimonianze di estremo interesse da parte di imprese leader di mercato, quali Volkswagen e Schneidereit (gruppo Electrolux Professional) e Schnell, finalizzata ad illustrare le sfide attuali. La seconda, che ha coinvolto aziende leader di soluzioni tecnologiche quali ServiceMax, Servitly e Zuora, è stata finalizzata ad illustrare le direzioni di evoluzione. La terza sessione, con l’aiuto di accademici ed esperti di tecnologie e di fenomeni sociali come Massimo Chiriatti di Lenovo ed il Prof. Stefano Tomelleri, ha avuto l’obiettivo di produrre ipotesi sulla società del futuro.

Servitization: The Evolution of the Species

November 10-11, 2022 – Istituto degli Innocenti | Florence

As the business environment is increasingly unpredictable, industrial enterprises are busy innovating products, services, and production and sales processes to adapt to changing market demands. The development of advanced services and servitized business models, such as fleet management, subscriptions, and equipment-as-a-service formulas, may in some contexts be the answer to the required paradigm shift. This shift requires experimentation, the development of new capabilities, and the exploitation of new technologies.

The 19th ASAP FORUM aimed to outline possible directions for the evolution of the industrial enterprise, with an emphasis on the role that emerging technologies and artificial intelligence will play in the development and delivery of digital services, suitable for social contexts with a high intensity of change. The event had more than 200 registrants and 150 participants, with 15 testimonials of business success stories.

As per tradition, the first day of work was reserved for ASAP Community members: the companies in the community were able to sketch the expected evolutions for the “service of the future,” confronting international experts such as Heiko Gebauer, Professor at Fraunhofer IMW, Davide Romero, Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, and Jim Spoher former IBM Director – Cognitive OpenTech. The day ended with a social dinner.
The following day, open to all and also usable online, consisted of three sessions.

The first, with extremely interesting testimonials from leading companies such as Volkswagen Schneidereit (Electrolux Professional Group), and Schnell, aimed at illustrating current challenges. The second, involving leading technology solutions companies such as ServiceMax, Servitly, and Zuora, was aimed at illustrating the directions of evolution. The third session, with the help of academics and experts in technology and social phenomena such as Massimo Chiriatti of Lenovo and Prof. Stefano Tomelleri, aimed to produce hypotheses about the society of the future.
